The workshop purposed to describe the participant of ICT development and implementation importance to support Makassar government programs so that ICT could be utilized more effective and right-directed, to motivate the ICT utilization through full, objective and well-balanced evaluation, and in order to prepare cooperation plan with various sectors (private sector & foreigners) at the same time with relevant basis law and in accordance with Makassar e-Government Master Plan year 2008 and basic principles of Inpres No. 3 year 2003 about policy and national strategy in expansion of e-Government in Indonesia especially in Makassar for the agenda of providing basis law / Juridical (regional regulations) ICT development and implementation. Moreover, it was targeted that the participants has got the broader picture of ICT benefit, motivated to develop and exploits ICT in more intactly to give service to public, business perpetrator and others as its and Intertwine of intergovernmental mutual profiting cooperation of Makassar with various stake holders which is peripatetic in the field of IT and available of basis logical law and objective to support development of e-Government in Makassar Municipality.

The workshop was opened by Makassar mayor continued with the discussion panel from ELGHD expert delivering the implementation strategy of e-government development in local government. Next, the presentation from General Manager UNER VII PT. Telkom delivering the readiness of infrastructure for supporting readiness of e-government. Then, the presentation from each SKPD about ICT profile related to Duties, Function and Auth as well as explaining existing condition of ICT-owned. At the end of workshop, it was delivered the Demo SMS IASmo Free.

        In addition, the workshop was run carefully with enthusiastic participant with closed on schedule and time determined. Intention of activity workshop to specify policy and development strategy and utilization of ICT in implementation of government bases on e-Government and depicts condition of infrastructure objective ICT (existing condition) at the moment in municipal administration scope Makassar and solution of development phasing of e-Governments so that the forming of preparation planning of PERDA (regional regulation) for the agenda of providing basis Juridical expansion and exploiting of information technology and communications (ICT) relevant and as according Makassar to e-government master plan and regulations of the Government supporting in e-Gov expansion. As for activity program planning for the agenda of implementation of expansion and preparation of ICT for Makassar Municipality year 2009-2013 consist of:

        1.      Preparation planning of infrastructure ITC as applying supporter of e-government at the Government of Town Makassar

        2.     Preparation planning of application bases on ICT

       3.     Mutual profiting cooperation planning with private sector/BUMN in preparation of implementation supporter infrastructure of utilization of ITC at implementation system of administration and information of the Government of Makassar City
